Using Distinct

  • Sometimes it might happen that a column contains duplicate copies and you want to view the different (distinct) values only.
  • For this we use ‘Distinct’ keyword

Syntax

Select distinct column_name(s) from table_name

Example-8:

+ If you recall the example given for Selection you will come to know that branch IT occurs twice but with Distinct Branch IT is displayed only once.
